Results of My Sixth Month on CALP

LowCarbForLife's picture

I completed my Sixth month of CALP on September 2, 2008. I weighed and measured myself on September 3rd, since I have chosen the third of every month as the day to record my results. I continue to remain on plan, eating the CALP way, and have not felt deprived since I began.

It wasn't that long ago when I would begin my day with carbohydrates such as cinnamon toast or even a bowl of cereal and be ready to eat again a couple of hours later. I would wake up in the morning wanting something sweet and that would lead me to my uncontrollable desire for more food. If I ate a sandwich and chips for lunch, I would become hungry for sweets or other snacks soon thereafter.

I have discovered that carbohydrates affect me differently than a lot of people, since I can not control myself after consuming them. CALP has allowed me to regain control over my eating because I do not eat carbohydrates except during my Reward Meal (RM). I reserve my RM as my evening meal since I don't know if I can control myself after eating it in the morning or afternoon.

I continue to remain dedicated to my exercise program. I began another WATP DVD on August 22, called Walk Away Your Waistline. WATP is still scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays with Bowflex on Tuesdays, Thursdays, & Saturdays. I continue to exercise six days a week and have never said after exercising that I wish I hadn't done it.

My results as of September 03, 2008:

Weight: 200 lbs.

Total inches lost over a five month period:
Chest: 4-3/4”
Waist: 7-3/4”
Hips: 4-1/4”
Arm: 1-1/4”
Leg: 3”
To be continued...
