Results of My Eighth Month on CALP
November 3rd was weigh in and measurement day. I stepped on the scale and took my measurements even though I had surgery on October 30, and didn't know if it would affect my results.
I have been following CALP since March 3, 2008, and have not had any problems following the program. I have never been tempted to eat off plan since I have so much control over how and when I eat. I am not deprived of the foods I love because I can include them in my Reward Meal. My husband and I spent five days out of town, and I had no problems staying on plan. CALP is a program I will be following for the rest of my life because I am not hungry when I follow it. I do not require any snacks and know that anything I want, I can have. I have been eating two meals a day but will not hesitate to eat a third meal, if I am hungry.
I continued to exercise six days a week alternating between cardio and strength training. Since I knew that I would not be able to continue with my exercise routine after my surgery, I completed my strength training before I went to the hospital that day.
I had varicose vein surgery and everything I read said I would get back to normal within a couple of days. I followed my discharge orders but found that I was still unable to do anything other than sit with my leg elevated like I was instructed to do.
I am still thrilled with the progress that I am making. Every month I have shown a loss, and as long as I continue to follow the program, I expect to see positive results. My husband continues to shower me with compliments and that is very flattering.

About me
I'm Teri. I am 52 years old, and I've been overweight most of my adult life. My diet and exercise program have me feeling better than I have ever felt before. I have lost close to 100 pounds since I began the Carbohydrate Addict's Lifespan Program in 2008, without starving or depriving myself in any way.
I am getting myself into better shape and my goal of becoming fit and healthy is getting closer every day. This will be my lifelong way of eating because I am happy to say that it comes natural to me!
Here's a link to my Progress Photos.
