Results of My Twelfth Month on CALP

I have officially followed CALP for a full year and still have no complaints!

I ended up going to town to get some things done and while I was there I decided to do a little shopping. I noticed my jeans were not fitting as well as they used to, so I decided to try on a smaller size. I was very pleased to get into a size 12P since it has been a very long time since I have been able to fit into that size. I ended up buying two pair of jeans, one black and one blue. The last time I bought my 14P, I only bought two pair and they have worked out just fine.

I think I get more excited with getting into smaller clothes than seeing a lower number on the scale. When I began following CALP, I couldn't even get into my 18W. It even took me a few weeks following the program to be able to get them buttoned and begin wearing them again. What is most surprising is that I still weigh as much as I do, but I can get into a size 12. I know my exercise program has a lot to do with it, but wow!

I washed my new jeans and when I took them out of the dryer, I was not too sure if I would be able to get them on. They looked so small, and when I held them up to my hips, I thought "no way". When I placed them in my drawer, next to my size 14s, I was actually thinking how thankful I was to still have my size 14s in there.

I got dressed into my work out clothes and it occurred to me that it was my day off. I grabbed my size 12 jeans out of the drawer and tried them on. They fit like a glove, but I am happy to say that I had no problem getting them on and zipped.

I hope to continue to see progress, but have no intentions of stopping if I don't. CALP really agrees with me since my CMs satisfy me for hours and I never get hungry until dinner time. I do not feel as if I am dieting because I know that I must follow the guidelines of CALP in order to remain in control of my carbohydrate addiction. Being in control is extremely powerful!
