Results of My Thirteenth Month on CALP

LowCarbForLife's picture

I am happy with my plan the way I have been doing it the past year. I am going to continue to eat my two meals a day because it works really well for me. If I get hungry for a third meal, I will eat it too. The only way I can make this program a life long plan, is to enjoy it!!!

I am a little frustrated because I have been following my program, but the scale is up again this week. The last month or so I have increased the amount of salad that I have been eating and have also increased the amount of salad dressing too. I never thought I could eat too much salad, but maybe I am. I have decided to go back to my 2 cups and see what happens with the scale.

I thought about dropping out of my challenge but don't see how that will change the outcome of my problem other than being able to ignore the scale on a weekly basis. I am going to continue with my challenge and weigh in once a week, so I hope the decrease in salad will make a difference for me. If I discover it is not the salad, then I will have to take another look at how often I am eating my sweets.

I really want to get into the 170s, and I know that I will, as long as I am patient. I know that I can eat pizza and anything else that I want, as long as I follow the guidelines of CALP. I continue to enjoy this way of eating and am still not experiencing any difficulties following the program!

I love the feeling of satisfaction without hunger, and it continues to suit me perfectly.

About me

I'm Teri. I am 52 years old, and I've been overweight most of my adult life. My diet and exercise program have me feeling better than I have ever felt before. I have lost close to 100 pounds since I began the Carbohydrate Addict's Lifespan Program in 2008, without starving or depriving myself in any way.

I am getting myself into better shape and my goal of becoming fit and healthy is getting closer every day. This will be my lifelong way of eating because I am happy to say that it comes natural to me!
