Results of my Eighteenth Month on CALP
I am happy that I am not a part of any weight loss contest because I would definitely lose. Others have said that because I am losing my weight at a slow, steady pace, that it will be easier to keep it off. Personally, I don't expect to have any problems keeping it off because I am not having any problems taking it off. I have found a way that I enjoy eating and I have never lost control of myself since I began following CALP.
There were times before I began following this way of eating that I would eat and not feel as if I would ever get enough. I could easily eat two plates full of food and then look forward to eating dessert later in the evening. My desserts were always huge and most of the time, I wanted more. The fact of the matter is, I have a sweet tooth and the only way I can control it is by following this program.
My husband and I celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary on August 21st. We took a four day weekend and went to Fort Bragg. We left on a Friday and I made sure to get my Walk Away the Pounds workout done before we left. Since bowflex was scheduled for Saturday, I took my 10 Minute Solutions workout with me since it is my substitute when I am not home. I made sure to get it done before we headed to town that day and knew that Sunday would be my day off. Since Monday was another Walk Away the Pounds workout for me, I made sure to take the dvd with me and got it done before we checked out of the room.
It was not difficult for me to eat on plan either. I made sure to order the foods that I am allowed to eat and my husband ate what I couldn't or it was left on the plate. One night we even shared a brownie topped with ice cream, hot fudge, nuts, whipped cream and two cherries. The thing that surprised me the most was that we left quite a bit on the plate. I was very careful to balance my meals and since it is impossible for me to overeat carbohydrates by doing so, I am able to stay on plan.

About me
I'm Teri. I am 52 years old, and I've been overweight most of my adult life. My diet and exercise program have me feeling better than I have ever felt before. I have lost close to 100 pounds since I began the Carbohydrate Addict's Lifespan Program in 2008, without starving or depriving myself in any way.
I am getting myself into better shape and my goal of becoming fit and healthy is getting closer every day. This will be my lifelong way of eating because I am happy to say that it comes natural to me!
