Day Off!

It was a very unusual day for me that started from the moment I woke up. I had to take my daughter to the airport to catch an early morning flight. We are over an hour away from the airport and since she was required to be there an hour and a half before her flight, we had to get out of our house by 5:30 a.m.

I talked my husband into getting up early and joining me so we could stop at Costco on our way home. We dropped our daughter off at the airport and then we headed to breakfast since we had already been up three hours. I decided to eat since my husband was hungry and I knew I would be ready to eat in a couple more hours. I ordered an omelet and gave my husband the orange juice, potatoes, and blueberry muffin. The omelet I ordered was not as low carb as I thought it was because when I looked it up on the internet, the nutritional information stated it was heavy on sodium, had too many grams of sugar, and contained 7 carbs. The omelet was tasty and since I can only eat so much egg, I scooped the filling out of the omelet and wasted some of the egg.

When we left the restaurant we went to a hardware store so I could get a replacement handle for a shovel. They did not carry the handle but I picked up some Sloggers (garden shoes) for me and my husband was able to get a few items that he wanted. We still had some time to burn before Costco opened so we headed to Walmart to get a new battery for my cellphone. We discovered that Walmart did not carry cellphone batteries so we went to Best Buy.

Best Buy was not opened when we got there so we waited around for the five minutes until they did. The cellphone battery was more expensive than I wanted to spend so I did not bother picking one up. I was able to charge my phone in my car and decided to try a couple of batteries that I had at home before spending the money on a new one. My husband was able to pick up a couple of items he needed so it was not a wasted trip.

Costco was open when we finished with Best Buy so we headed over there. We were able to pick up the items that we needed and then it was time to head home. When we got in the car my husband said he was hungry and could easily stop for lunch. I also could have eaten but decided to wait a few more hours before eating another meal. We discussed what we were going to have for dinner on our way home and decided on home made chicken strips. Since we had already picked up some chicken from Costco and we had all the ingredients that we needed at home, we didn't have to stop at the grocery store.

When we got home we discovered our naughty dog decided to break into the house. He has been going through screens and has completely destroyed the ones that he could bite his way through. My husband cracked open the window before we left home and he broke in by removing each one of the vertical blinds with his teeth and destroyed one whole section of them.

My husband and I were both hungry enough to start our dinner long before dinner time. We worked together and I couldn't believe it was 2:30 p.m. when we sat down to eat our dinner. I knew I was allowed two CM's and a smaller one if needed, so I did not hesitate to eat that early. Home made chicken strips are so good that it was actually hard for me to stop eating them. I could have continued to eat them, but because balancing is the key to stop me from overeating, I kept it balanced.

The animals needed feeding so my husband helped me by taking a bag of rabbit food up to the rabbit barn and dumping it into the feed container. I fed one of the horses and he fed the other one while I grabbed some hay for the sheep. I had already fed some of the rabbits earlier so I only had a few more to feed before I was finished.

Six and a half hours after I had eaten my dinner, I felt hungry again. I made the decision to not allow myself to be hungry while following this way of eating and made myself a salad. The salad was a perfect solution to my hunger and there was absolutely no guilt in adding an additional CM whatsoever.

My husband and I chose to postpone our bowflex workout until the following day because it was so late by the time we had a chance to get it started. I still don't have any problems with using Sunday as a make up day as long as I get it done.
