Results of My Third Month on CALP

LowCarbForLife's picture

On May 6, 2008, my curiosity got the best of me and I finally stepped on the forbidden scale. My weight was 218 lbs. and since I had been doing really well with my eating and exercise program, I was actually feeling pretty good about myself. I will continue to avoid the scale on a daily basis since it doesn't specify how much fat I am losing, but will use it once a month when I take my measurements for my records.

I continue to eat according to plan since it is still easy for me to do. Exercise has never been easy for me, but I have continued to exercise six days a week because I know it is good for me. It will not be easy to only see a small amount of loss on the scale every month, but I know that I am building muscle and a pound of muscle takes up much less room than a pound of fat.

On May 27, 2008, it had been one month since I took my measurements so it was time to take them again. I lost 1” off my chest, 0” off my waist, 1/8” off my hips, 0” off my arm, and 0” off my leg. My weight was 213-1/4 lbs. and that meant I lost four and three quarter pounds in three weeks.

I know that it takes time to lose weight and I can only be successful if I remain on plan. Of course without starvation or deprivation, it is not difficult at all for me to do!

Total inches lost over a three month period:
Chest: 2-1/2”
Waist: 3”
Hips: 2-1/2”
Arm: 1”
Leg: 1”
