Cardio and Strength Training Exercises
I began my cardio workouts with Walk Away the Pounds (WATP). I purchased two DVD's and have only used the 3 Mile Power Walk so far. I was only able to complete one mile the first two times I tried it, so the third time I pushed myself to see how far I could go. I only made it one third of the way into the second mile on my third and fourth time, but was determined to get through it. I was able to complete two miles the fifth time and continued with that distance for the next two weeks. I worked my way through all three miles for the first time on May 7, 2008, and have been walking nine miles a week ever since.
My husband bought us a Bowflex XCeed Plus in March of this year and we began using it on April 15. I asked my husband if he would join me on a regular basis since I did not know how to set up the different exercises, and he agreed. We began the 20 Minute Better Body Workout which includes Bench Press, Crossover Rear Deltoid Rows, Seated Lat Rows, Standing Low Back Extension, Biceps Curl, Leg Extension, Triceps Pushdown, and Seated Abdominal Crunch. We started with one set of fifteen reps each and have progressed to two sets of fifteen reps each.
I have never been a fan of exercise but I can not deny the necessity of it as I am trying to eat healthier and become less sedentary. I am confident I will continue with my exercise program since I have been loyal since the beginning. My energy levels have increased and I am feeling pretty good about myself these days.

About me
I'm Teri. I am 52 years old, and I've been overweight most of my adult life. My diet and exercise program have me feeling better than I have ever felt before. I have lost close to 100 pounds since I began the Carbohydrate Addict's Lifespan Program in 2008, without starving or depriving myself in any way.
I am getting myself into better shape and my goal of becoming fit and healthy is getting closer every day. This will be my lifelong way of eating because I am happy to say that it comes natural to me!
Here's a link to my Progress Photos.
